Profil
Jan Borchers is full professor of computer science and head of the Media Computing Group at RWTH Aachen University. With his research group, he explores the field of human-computer interaction, with a particular interest in new post-desktop user interfaces for smart environments, ubiquitous computing, interactive exhibits, and time-based media such as audio and video. Before joining RWTH, he worked as assistant professor of computer science at Stanford University for two years, and briefly at ETH Zurich. He received his PhD in computer science from Darmstadt University of Technology in 2000, and is a member of ACM, SIGCHI, BayCHI, and GI.

Profile
Peter Letmathe (born in 1966) studied business administration at the University of Bielefeld where he graduated as Diplom-Kaufmann. He received his PhD (awarded with summa cum laude) from University GH Essen and completed his postdoctoral stage with his habilitation on “Flexible Standardization” at Ruhr-University Bochum. Between 1993 and 2001, he worked under supervision of Prof. Dr. Marion Steven at both universities – Essen and Bochum – as research assistant in the fields of management accounting, operations management, and corporate environmental management. After completing his habilitation he was appointed Professor of Environmental and Technology Management at University of Bayreuth. Between 2002 and 2011 he held the chair of Value Chain Management with special focus on Small and Medium sized Enterprises at University of Siegen where he founded the SMI (Small and Medium Sized Enterprise Institute Siegen) in 2003, which he headed until September 2011. Since October 2011 he holds the Chair of Management Accounting at RWTH Aachen University. His international experience includes multiple visiting professorships at University of Colorado at Boulder and Clemson University. His practical experience comprises more than two years of work in the furniture industry as well as more than 50 projects with industrial firms mainly in the fields of strategic management, management accounting, and process optimization. Besides having published in top business journals, he has been member of several scientific boards, e.g. of IfM Bonn and BAUM e.V.

Research and work
Tim Minshall is a Reader in Technology and Innovation Management at the University of Cambridge Department of Engineering’s Institute for Manufacturing. His research, teaching and outreach activities are focused on collaborative/open innovation, the commercialisation of advanced technologies, and the development of engineering/manufacturing skills.
He is a Fellow and Director of Innovation and Engineering Outreach at Churchill College, Cambridge, a Non-Executive Director of St John’s Innovation Centre Ltd Cambridge, a Visiting Professor at Doshisha University in Kyoto, and a member of the IET’s Innovation and Emerging Technologies Policy Panel.

Research and work
Bernhard Rumpe is teaching Software Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University. Earlier he had positions at INRIA/IRISA, Rennes, Colorado State University, TU Braunschweig, Vanderbilt University,
Nashville, and TU Munich. His main interests are rigorous and practical software and system development methods. This includes agile development methods like XP and SCRUM as well as
model-engineering based on UML-like notations and domain specific languages. He has contributed to agile methods, as well as to the UML standard. Already in 2007 he has developed an autonomous
car for the Darpa Urban Challenge using agile system development techniques.
He is author and editor of nine books and Editor-in-Chief of the Springer International Journal on Software and Systems Modeling (www.sosym.org). His newest book "Agile Modeling with the UML" is published in 2016.
